Conveniently located in the hub of Northampton County, Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg (LVH-Muhlenberg) is the region's newest, most advanced hospital providing an ever-widening range of health care services.

Cancer Care

• The Cancer Center provides comprehensive services including diagnosis and treatment, chemotherapy, advanced radiation and radiosurgery, supportive care and assessment, and general counseling

Cardiac Care

• LVH-Muhlenberg's all-digital cardiac catheterization lab provides fast care for blocked arteries with balloon angioplasty and stent insertion. Our door-to-balloon times are faster than the American Heart Association’s gold standard
• Heart surgery performed by surgeons who have the best outcomes in Pennsylvania for heart bypass

Diagnostic Care Center

• We brought together many of our diagnostic services in a new Diagnostic Care Center conveniently located to help you get the fastest, most convenient testing and diagnosis.
  
• The center has X-ray, blood testing, respiratory testing, EEG scans of the brain, and a heart station with stress tests, EKGs and other services.

Pediatric Care

• With more pediatric specialists than any hospital in the region, the Pediatric Specialty Center offers services in hematology, oncology, cardiology, neurology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, pulmonology, audiology, and more
• The area's only Pediatric Ambulatory Surgery Unit offers a variety of outpatient surgical procedures from board-certified pediatric surgeons
• A team of physical, occupational and speech therapists provides outpatient rehabilitation services for children who have general development delays, movement problems, feeding, swallowing and language problems, and disorders like cerebral palsy, spina bifida, juvenile arthritis and more
• The pediatric pulmonary program at Lehigh Valley Hospital is the only designated cystic fibrosis affiliate center of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in the region recognized by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
  

Stroke Care

• LVH-Muhlenberg is the only Primary Stroke Center certified by the Joint Commission in Bethlehem
• Patients receive the clot-busting drug tPA within 80 minutes of arriving at the hospital, any time of the day or night

Neurosurgery

• The region's only Gamma Knife® treats people with brain tumors without the need for an incision

Orthopedic Care

• Orthopedic surgeons are pioneering new technologies to relieve hip, knee, shoulder and back pain, and are currently studying the use of artificial discs in the neck

Critical Care

• From a high-tech, off-site control room called the advanced intensive care unit, a physician, called a tele-intensivist, uses high-resolution video, audio and electronic charting equipment to constantly monitor critically-ill patients
